Work placement Modules in years two and three support your continuous professional development, helping you learn about the industry, key legislation, interpreting creative briefs, negotiating fees & expenses, copyright, client-photographer relations, freelance business and promotional skills, as well as individual planning and preparation for career progression.

As a student on the programme you will be working alongside students form other degree subject areas such as Fine Art, Graphic Design and Fashion Design.

Studying in this creative environment offers you the opportunity to collaborate with students from these different disciplines on a variety of projects and briefs sharing ideas and skills and working as part of a team, skills that are necessary to be successful upon graduation.

The emphasis of the degree is upon developing a full range of professional knowledge and skills in photography.

Core photographic skills are supported by lectures in critical and contextual studies that explore both historical and contemporary image making and fine art.

Assessment is continuous throughout the three years of the programme, being based upon both formal assessment, oral presentations, peer reviews and essays.
